Huh-wha?

A writer guy who does music? Ew.

My time spent playing music in Ohio has informed how I educate, perform and write, so I'm happy to share it with you. All of these bands got coverage from CD 101, The Other Paper, Columbus Alive and more.

Carlos Avendano's brain has been stemming itself with freak-pop vibrations through Flotation Walls for almost 15 years. I was in there for a bit. I played the lead thingie on this song for their album "Nature", which you should go buy here.

One time I saw these guys at a house show and this kid in the audience was so ginned-up he hugged me until one of my ribs cracked. Two years later, I was their drummer. Two years later, I was not. My ribs feel fine now. Please purchase "Metaphysical Haircut" here.

DOLBY F*CKERS
2006-2009
vox/guitar

This is a band I started as a recording experiment with friends. The live version was with some of my best and oldest amigos.  We were lo-fi, which means if you live within 100 miles of Dayton and write pop songs everybody says you're ripping off Guided By Voices. I was trying to cop the Beatnik Filmstars, but there you go.
